Our technology:
Sink-float separator
Using a sink-float bath, it is possible to separate fractions with different specific gravity.
In a water basin, the heavy and light fractions are separated based on the difference in buoyancy. The heavy fraction (stone, concrete, rubble, etc.) sinks, is collected at the bottom of the basin and is removed by means of a discharge screw.
The light fraction (wood, plastics, etc.) is transported to a dewatering screw and disposed of in this way.
Senro develops and produces stainless steel sink-float separators for processing plastics. In each case, a sink-float separators is custom-designed by our own engineering department so that it is ideally suited for the desired sorting and capacity with the outlet to the right, left, front or back.
Features of the Sink-float separator
- Version as pre-separator (e.g. for protection grinding mill) or as separator floating/sinking plastics
- Various versions available, for 2D (foils) and 3D material
- Disposal of settled fraction by chain conveyor or conveyor screw
- Adjustable speed of agitator and paddles
- Low maintenance costs
- Standard finish in 304 stainless steel
