Senro supplies optical NIR separators to fully in-house design and control. The purpose of the optical NIR separator is the fully automated separation of different materials from a material flow.

Using the near-infrared (NIR) principle, Senro’s NIR separators can detect and sort a wide range of materials. In addition to the near-infrared technology, a colour camera can be used, which also enables colour sorting. Senro’s NIR separators are able to separate paper, cardboard, various types of plastic and wood parts from various material flows in terms of composition, particle size and mix of waste. In doing so, a high degree of purity of the sorted fraction is guaranteed.

Each NIR separator is custom-built by Senro so that it can be used optimally for the desired application and maximum effectiveness is achieved.
